the birds”.

Many have tried to emulate
our unique "Meet the Birds" formula for introducing beginners to the noble art of
falconry, but sadly most fall short of the mark by comparison.
We have an unrivalled
variety of birds as well as a level of instruction to make your day
with us, in the words of the numerous comments from our Visitors
Book, “Unforgettable!”

Our sessions, which run daily*, have
the following format:

Your session commences as your collected
from the picturesque village of Braco and transferred by 4wd vehicle to our
site on the beautiful Braco Castle Estate.

On arrival, you will be introduced to your
instructor and a wide selection of the birds you’ll be flying.

Your first task will be to get to grips
with the tricky falconers knot, before being given a formal lesson in
picking up and handling one of our magnificent Harris hawks.

Next you’ll head out on a “Hawk Walk” to
experience a formal lesson where your instructor will go into greater detail
of the training of our birds and you’ll be given the opportunity of free
flying a bird yourself.

After coffee and a chance to view the numerous
falcons and other raptors on the lawn, its time to put your new found skills
into practice as we let you handle and fly a bigger selection of our hawks,
owls and falcons.

Your session ends with the king of birds as
you will be able to handle and fly one of our larger raptors like the Golden
or Bald eagle: a memory unrivalled or unequalled!

Finally, after another chance to view the
birds and take some photographs, you’ll be transferred back to the village
of Braco.
